The garden center's soil mix shifted and my tomatoes know it

I've been buying the same brand of potting soil from the same store in Austin for 5 years. This spring, my seedlings stalled at 4 inches and the bag felt heavier, so I checked the label and they swapped in more bark filler. Did anyone else notice their local store quietly change suppliers or recipes this season?
