Last Tuesday my beagle started limping on his back left leg after jumping off the couch, and I stood in my kitchen for 10 minutes going back and forth on whether to drive to the emergency vet in Boise or just watch him for a day. I ended up paying the $85 because he yelped when I touched his paw, and the vet said it was just a mild sprain that would heal on its own. Part of me feels silly for spending that money on nothing, but another part thinks waiting could have made it worse if it was actually a break. Where do you all draw the line between being careful and being paranoid with pets?
