Pro tip: I asked a really simple question on here about fixing a slow website and got a fix I never would have thought of.

My site was loading super slow, like 8 seconds slow, and I was sure it was my hosting. I posted asking for any ideas, and someone suggested checking my image sizes. I ran them through a free tool called TinyPNG, and my homepage load time dropped to under 3 seconds. I learned that sometimes the most basic thing is the problem. Has anyone else had a speed issue that turned out to be something really simple like that?

Ever notice how the biggest fixes are often the simplest? It's like finding your keys in the first place you look.

Totally get that. My blog was crawling and I was ready to switch my whole theme. Turns out I had a bunch of old, unused plugins just sitting there deactivated. Deleted them all and it was like night and day. Sometimes you just need to clear out the digital clutter you forgot was even there.

Sometimes you need a pro to find the real issue, not just clear clutter like @carr.jennifer did.
