Pro tip: a plumber in Tulsa told me to stop pouring bacon grease down my sink

I was standing in my kitchen watching a guy snake my drain two weeks ago and he pulled out this giant gray blob of fat. He said it was 6 years of bacon grease and butter, all hardened up like a candle. He told me even hot water just moves it down the pipe where it cools and sticks. Now I pour it in a coffee can and toss it in the trash. What do you all do with your cooking grease?
