Hit 400k miles on my F-150 and the odometer stopped mattering

Rolled past 400,000 miles last Tuesday on the way to a job in Tacoma. Everyone I tell acts like it's a miracle, but honestly the truck runs better now than it did at 150k. I've done the regular stuff, oil every 5k, transmission fluid every 30k, and replaced the alternator twice. The real surprise was that hitting 400k didn't feel like a milestone. It felt like a checkpoint that just confirmed what I already knew, maintenance beats replacement every time. My buddy traded in his truck at 80k because he was scared of the big number, and now he's got a $700 payment while I own mine outright.
