Walked into a small library looking for one book, left with a whole different genre
I needed a copy of that new thriller for a book club. But the librarian at the downtown branch handed me a random memoir about a guy who built a canoe by hand. I'm halfway through it now and honestly like it more than the thriller. Anyone else get totally sidetracked by a librarian's pick?

Wait, didn't you once argue librarians were just shelf-stackers?

Respectfully disagree, librarians just know what they're doing (and they're usually right).
