Vent: The 24/7 news feeds are making me nostalgic for printed papers
Everyone in my family thinks I'm crazy for holding onto my newspaper subscription. I get the paper delivered every morning at 6am, and it costs me $38 a month. But after 5 years of scrolling through breaking news alerts on my tablet, I realized I wasn't actually reading anything, just skimming headlines and feeling anxious. The paper forces me to sit with a story, even the boring local council meeting reports. Has anyone else gone back to physical papers after swearing them off, or am I the only one who hates the endless refresh?
