That librarian who whispered a book spoiler at me by accident

I was asking for a mystery novel recommendation at my local library in Portland last month, and the librarian got so excited she blurted out the killer's name on page 312 before handing me the book. Has anyone else had a librarian accidentally ruin a plot twist for them?

Used to think spoilers didn't matter but that would infuriate me.

Oh man, I gotta push back a little @the_logan. I actually think that's totally fair though. Like when I was watching Severance, someone accidentally told me a big twist from the season finale and it actually made me notice smaller details I would have missed otherwise. Some stories are built on the payoff of a surprise, so having that moment stolen can really kill the experience. But for me, spoilers sometimes let me enjoy the craft more than the shock.
