Spent 2 weeks hunting down one local obituary from 1957 for a school project
A kid came into the library last month needing an obituary from a local paper that ran in 1957, and the microfilm reels for that year were checked out to another branch across town. It took 12 days of transfers, phone calls, and one trip to the county clerk's office before we got a copy, and the whole time I kept thinking there had to be a faster way. Does anyone know a good workaround for old microfilm that's stuck at another branch?
