Renewing library books online feels too easy, I miss the paper slip ritual

I used to drive 20 minutes to the branch every 3 weeks just to hand my stack to the clerk and get those dated receipts, but now that I renew from my couch in 2 clicks, I actually worry I'm forgetting the books exist, does anyone else treat the physical return as part of actually finishing the reading?
