PSA: I spent 3 years writing research papers wrong until a professor in Detroit called me out

Tbh I always just dumped all my sources at the end of each paragraph, thinking that was proper citation. Then last semester my professor handed back my paper on the 1930s Dust Bowl with a note saying 'this is not how you integrate sources.' She showed me how to weave quotes into my own sentences instead of just dropping them in. Has anyone else had a teacher or librarian fix a bad habit you didn't even know you had?

Three years ago my dentist had to show me I was brushing my teeth wrong my whole life. Always figured hard scrubbing was the way to go but nope, gentle circles. Funny how we pick up bad habits and nobody tells us until it matters.

My buddy @beth_mitchell found out he was sawing his gums off with a scrub brush until he was 30.
