Update: That muddy hole finally gave me something to smile about
I was sure this dig was a bust after days of just moving dirt around. Then my brush revealed a carved bone needle, simple but intact. Does a small win like this ever save your whole week?

Watching my kid try to build a block tower for an hour only for it to tip over every time, then that one time it stays up. That tiny victory totally changes the mood of the whole afternoon. It feels like life is mostly those small, dumb grinds, and the universe just tosses you a bone needle or a standing block tower to keep you going. Those little wins are the only reason we bother with the next muddy hole.

An hour of trying to build that tower? I can't believe your kid stuck with it that long. Most children would have thrown a fit after ten minutes. That kind of patience is really something special. It makes that one standing tower mean so much more. You're right, those tiny wins are what get us through the daily grind. I'm just shocked at the sheer determination on display.
