Update: spent 3 seasons walking past the same flint scatter on my uncle's farm in Ohio before I finally looked at it right
I've been picking up arrowheads in that field since I was a kid, but last spring my cousin's buddy who does CRM work pointed out I'd been tossing the real good stuff because I only kept the whole points. Turns out about 20 of the broken flakes I left in a coffee can are actually debitage from a knapping spot, and I had no clue what that even meant until he said the word. What's the best way to figure out if a scatter like that is worth reporting to the state, or should I just leave it be?
