The temple floor at Gobekli Tepe changed completely between my two visits, 2019 to this spring

First time the carved pillars sat on rough, uneven bedrock, but now there's this smooth walking surface all around them and I heard the dig crew installed it to manage the flood runoff, has anyone else seen how rain damage reshapes these sites over a couple seasons?

That smooth surface is actually a proper fix, the flooding ruins the carvings if you leave it.
