That news clip about the bronze age hoard in Wales got me thinking

I saw a short segment on the BBC about a metal detectorist who found 2,500 year old axe heads near a riverbank. What stuck with me was the archaeologist saying these items were probably put there as a ritual offering, not just lost or buried for storage. It made me wonder how many everyday objects we find were actually part of some belief system we don't fully understand yet. Has anyone else come across a find that seemed practical at first but had a deeper meaning when studied closer?
