Got burned by a "museum grade" private dig kit in Tucson, and I want to warn anyone buying these things
My kid talked me into a $150 "real excavation" kit from a shop near Tucson in March, and the box promised an actual never before studied site with real field notes. Turns out it was a bag of gravel from a landscaping yard with 3 fake arrowheads and a printed sheet full of made up dates, so I called the shop and they just said all sales are final. Has anyone here actually come across a hands on dig program that lets regular people help for real, or is that whole scene just these kits now?
