Watched a client's oak tree go from bare to full canopy in just 18 months after a deep root feed, but my coworker says we just got lucky with the rain.

Yeah @wendygarcia, that timeline is wild. Oaks usually take years just to get started. Something feels off about that.

Actually, 18 months tracks for a managed red oak. Planted a few myself back in 2018, they hit 12 feet in two years with good soil and regular water. Not every oak is a slowpoke. Depends on the species and how much care they get. Sounds like they picked the right tree for the job.
