Tuesday was a nightmare. Three cranes broke down in one day.

Started with the big chipper at 7 AM. Hydraulic line blew. Got that fixed by 10. Then the bucket truck starter died at noon. Had to push it out of a customers driveway. Finally the stump grinder threw a belt at 4 PM. I just sat in the truck for ten minutes. Has anyone else had a day where everything failed at once?

And then the day just compounds on itself, right? Like once you hit that second breakdown you're already mentally checked out for the rest of the shift. I've had days where the first thing that goes is just a little hiccup, but by the third thing you're not even fixing it properly you're just slapping it together to get through the day. The worst part is the next morning when you gotta come back and actually deal with all the bandaids you left behind. That stump grinder belt at 4 PM would've been the final straw for me too, I would've just called it a day and told the customer it's tomorrow's problem.

You ever look back and realize you fixed two things wrong that day?
