Tried air spading on a clay soil job last week
Figured it would save time on root flares. Ended up blowing mud everywhere and barely exposed the collar. Has anyone else had bad luck with air spade in heavy clay?

Oh man, a buddy of mine tried that exact thing on a clay property. He said it was like trying to wash a dirty car with a fire hose - just a giant mess and he got nothing done.
