Pro tip: skip the $60 stump grinder rental from the big box store
Rented one of those walk behind stump grinders for a 14 inch sweetgum stump in my neighbor's yard in Boise and the thing cut out every 10 minutes because the belt kept slipping. Burned 5 hours of a one day rental fighting it and the guy at the counter just shrugged and said "they all do that." Should I just pay the $200 for a pro with a real machine next time, or is there a rental place that actually keeps their gear running?
