Back in '08, a huge storm in Charlotte snapped a main leader on a 90-year-old oak I was trying to save.

Seeing that old tree fail even with a cable system made me switch from just bracing to full crown reduction for high-risk limbs. Anyone else change their approach after a specific job went sideways?
