Took 6 weeks to figure out my duplex had a locked utility closet
Signed a lease in Pittsburgh for a duplex. Hot water kept going cold after 10 minutes. Called the landlord 4 times, he swore it was the water heater. Finally a plumber came out, found the breaker for the second element was in a closet the landlord forgot to unlock. It took 6 weeks total. Has anyone else had a landlord hide something basic like that? How do you find out about weird access before you sign?

Landlord probably figured you'd call a pro eventually, so that's on you.
