Spent 9 days in August chasing a 2 bedroom in Denver and lost all three to people who showed up with cash
One unit off Colfax went in 40 minutes because the guy ahead of me had a cashier's check already made out, so now I'm wondering if I should just carry one around too or if that's a waste of a fee every time I look at a place.
Did the landlord actually tell you they picked the cashier's check guy, or was that just your guess? Because in my experience it is way more about who gets their app in first and has all the paperwork ready, not the fancy check. Nine days and three losses sounds brutal, but Denver is nuts right now so that tracks. What neighborhoods are you even looking at, because that changes everything about how fast you have to move. Also curious if you were working with a realtor or just refreshing Zillow like a maniac.
