Rented the cheap place with no laundry, versus the pricier one with it. Here's my math after 6 months.
Back in March I had to choose between a $950 unit on the bus line with no washer hookups and a $1,150 one with a shared laundry room. I picked the cheap one, thinking I'd save $200 a month. But between laundromat trips at $4.50 a load and losing Sunday mornings to sitting in that fluorescent nightmare, I've probably spent close to $400 extra and gained zero peace of mind. My lease is up in September, and I'm already telling the rental agent to hold that other place. Has anyone else done this trade-off and actually stuck with the cheap route for a full year?
