TIL I was reading a show's name wrong for months because of a bad subtitle file.
Kept seeing people online talk about 'KonoSuba' and I had no clue what they meant. I was watching a file labeled 'Kono Subarashii Sekai' from a group called 'AnimeHeaven-Raws'. My friend came over, saw my screen, and said 'oh, you like Konosuba too?' Felt pretty dumb. Anyone else get tripped up by weird file names or subs?

Remember when fansubs used to add fake episode titles as jokes.

My old MP3 player had a song listed as "Track 04" for years that turned out to be a popular radio hit. It happens everywhere now, like when a recipe blog buries the actual instructions. You just accept the wrong info because it's the only label you have.

Wait, is this like the time I spent two weeks telling people I was watching "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" when the file actually read "Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu"? My buddy just stared at me like I had three heads and said "dude, you're reading the Japanese word order." I felt like a COMPLETE IDIOT because I even had the subs on and just never noticed the character names came first. Now I keep a little notebook of show titles in plain English because my brain can't handle that flipped around stuff. It's honestly EMBARRASSING how many shows I've probably butchered the names of without knowing.
