PSA: That guy at the con who 'corrected' my anime take still bugs me a year later

At Anime Expo last year, some random dude interrupted my friend and I talking about Evangelion to say I was 'wrong' about the ending meaning. He literally pulled out his phone to show a wiki page as proof, but wouldn't let me finish explaining my own interpretation. Has anyone else had a stranger derail a conversation like that and just walk off?

Tbh I think the wiki guy had a point though, the ending is pretty clear.
