My Crunchyroll account glitched mid-episode and I lost my whole queue

Last week I was watching episode 4 of Orbital Children and the app just froze. When I restarted it, my entire watchlist of like 30 shows was GONE. I tried logging out and back in three times but nothing worked. Their support said they'd escalate it but that was 5 days ago and I still haven't heard back. I lost track of where I was on 3 different series I was halfway through. Has anyone else had Crunchyroll wipe their queue before and actually get it restored?

Took me a while to believe it could actually happen until it did to me too. I used to think people were just not remembering their queue right or something, but last month my whole list just vanished on a random Tuesday night. Crunchyroll took almost two weeks to get back to me and when they finally did they basically said sorry but couldn't restore anything. I had to scroll through the entire catalog trying to remember what I was watching. It completely changed my view on how reliable their service actually is. Now I screenshot my queue every time I add something new just in case.

My friend actually went through the same thing a few months ago and it was a nightmare for her too. She had this huge queue she'd been building for like two years and poof, gone just like that. Crunchyroll gave her the same canned response and she ended up making a spreadsheet to track what she'd watched and what she wanted to watch next.
