My coworker said the Chimera Ant arc is the best in all of anime and I just sat there like, no way
We were eating lunch at the Panda Express on 5th and he went on for like 20 minutes about how nothing tops it. I told him I actually think it drags hard in the middle and the Yorknew City arc does way more in half the episodes. He pulled up a ranking list with 14,000 votes to try to prove me wrong but honestly polls don't change how I feel about pacing. Anyone else think the longer a shonen arc gets, the less patience they have for it?

The "14,000 votes" part got me good, because nothing ends an argument faster than a poll nobody asked for. That is like your buddy pulling out a Yelp rating to settle whether a restaurant is good. Anyway, I am with you on pacing, a 60 episode arc that could have been 25 is a real chore no matter how many people voted for it. Yorknew City does a ton in way fewer episodes and never once made me check how much time was left.
