Actually, that's a pretty clear genre to me! Shows like "Food Wars" or "Restaurant to Another World" have their own rules and tropes. They're all about the passion for cooking and the drama in the kitchen. It feels as defined as sports anime or idol shows.

Totally agree with this. Once you're in the weeds of a real service kitchen, the speed and pressure make it just like a heated sports match.
