I finally stopped skipping filler arcs and rewatching at 1.5x speed

Used to skip every filler arc in One Piece because I thought they were pure waste. Then my cousin made me watch the G-8 arc with him last Tuesday, and I couldn't believe how funny and well written it was. Turns out the pacing complaints I had were mostly from watching weekly, not from the episodes themselves. Now I check filler guides but give each arc at least 3 episodes before I bail. Has anyone else changed their mind on a specific filler arc after giving it a real shot?
