Appreciation post for the sub that recommended I skip the fillers in One Piece

So I was about 200 episodes into One Piece and getting burnt out on those long dragged out scenes. Someone here said just skip the filler arcs and focus on the canon material. I did that and now I'm flying through the Dressrosa arc. Where were you guys when I wasted 3 weeks on the G-8 filler? Has anyone else had a filler experience that nearly killed the show for you?

Tbh I spent three weeks on the G-8 arc thinking it was peak storytelling, only to find out it wasn't even canon.

Nah, filler arcs usually have the best pacing and character moments because they aren't shackled to Oda's outline.
