Tried to fix my grandpa's old Polaroid and got my hand stuck inside it
Found a 1972 Polaroid Land Camera in a box my mom dropped off last Sunday. Figured I'd clean it up and see if I could get the bellows working again. Got about halfway through taking the front panel off and my hand got wedged between the lens mount and the shutter mechanism. Took me 20 minutes of wiggling and swearing to get free. Managed to snap one of the metal tabs on the film door in the process. Now I have a camera that still doesn't work and my wrist hurts. Anyone else get physically beat up by old tech they were trying to fix?

Sounding like you got owned by a 50 year old camera.

That "owned by a 50 year old camera" line is a bit harsh. A classic camera can still take beautiful photos if you know what you're doing, and age doesn't always mean it's outdated.
