Swapped my fixer in a milk jug last month and the brown sludge at the bottom told me everything
Been reusing fixer way too long out of laziness, so I finally started pouring it into a clear milk jug and holding it up to a lamp after each session in my garage in Dayton. Last month the jug went from pale yellow to tea colored after only 6 rolls, which lines up with exactly when my last two batches came out foggy and grey. Now I test it with a clipped film leader before every session, takes 2 minutes, has anyone else got a cheap trick for checking when chemistry is done?
