My first roll of Ektachrome came back pink and I blamed the lab until I checked the fridge

Shot a whole trip to Charleston on expired slide film I'd stored next to the water heater for 8 months, the heat cooks the color out. Now I keep all my film in a mini cooler with those blue ice packs, has anyone else seen weird color shifts from storage temps?
