Just realized my 'artistic multiple exposure' was actually a film rewind fail
I spent a whole afternoon thinking I was being clever with double exposures on this roll of Portra, only to find out the lab tech forgot to rewind my film before opening the back. Has anyone else had a moment where you thought you pulled off something cool but it was just a mistake?

Actually the lab tech opening the back is what causes the fogging, not the rewind fail.

Depends on the lab tech honestly. Some of them are careful and only open the back in total darkness with a changing bag, but you KNOW there's that one guy who just yanks it open to see what happened. Is it really that common though? I've had failed rewinds that didn't toast the whole roll, just the last few frames. Feel like people blow this up into a bigger deal than it actually is.
