Fogged my entire roll at the beach last summer, still kicking myself

Loaded some Portra 400 before a trip to Santa Cruz and didn't realize the camera back seal was worn out. Sunlight leaked through and turned half the shots into washed out blue blobs, but the ones that survived actually look kind of dreamy. Has anyone else ruined a roll but kept the weird leftovers because they grew on you?
