Finally got a whole roll of film right after 4 months of disasters
I've been shooting film for about a year now and every single roll had something wrong. Light leaks, blank frames, weird colors from bad development. Just got my last roll back from the lab and every single shot came out sharp and exposed correctly for the first time. 36 frames, not a single dud. I shot it over a weekend in Portland at the waterfront market. The one roll before that I accidentally opened the back of my Canon AE-1 halfway through. Has anyone else had a streak of bad luck that finally turned around?

Slowing down and double checking each step before advancing fixed it for me.

man, that feeling when you open that envelope and everything is just THERE, all sharp and pretty, nothing ruined. it's like a weight off your shoulders. i went through something similar with my minolta, six rolls of pure garbage, light leaks everywhere and one roll that came back completely blank because i loaded it wrong. total soul crusher. but when that good roll finally comes through, it makes you forget all the disasters and reminds you why you put up with this stupid expensive hobby in the first place. happy for you for real, that portland weekend sounds like it was worth every frame.
