Developed my film for 14 months with chemicals way too cold. A thermometer save my Saturday.

Started developing everything at room temp after years of guessing and got way more consistent results. Cold chemicals just introduce too much variation, especially with longer development times. You end up with weird contrast shifts and muted colors that are a pain to fix in scanning. Why bother with an extra variable when the whole point of film is controlling your exposure?

Bet those cold chems saved your highlights from blowing out though.
