Debate: Should you buy a cheap bulk lot of expired film or stick with fresh rolls?
I spent $40 on a bulk lot of expired Kodak Gold 200 off eBay, 10 rolls from 2005. First two rolls came out fine with some color shifts, but the third one had massive light leaks and half the shots were blank. Now I'm out $40 and wondering if I should have just bought 2 fresh rolls for the same price. Some people swear expired film gives them a cool vintage look, others say it's a total gamble that wastes money. Has anyone else lost cash on a bad batch of old film, or do you think the savings are worth the risk?

Did you figure out if the light leaks were from the camera or the film itself, or were you just shooting blind the whole time?

Wait, you mean you actually shot an entire roll without knowing if it was the camera or the film? That sounds like a nightmare to me. I would have been freaking out the whole time over every single frame. Did you at least get any good shots out of it, or was it a total wash?
