Oh man, I felt this one in my soul. I used to blame the lab for every scratch on my lenses, swore up and down they were sending me junk back. Then one day I actually watched myself wipe a lens and realized I was basically dragging grit across it with my own rag. The squeegee thing is even worse because you think you're being gentle but you're really just pressing hard enough to leave marks. Took me way too long to admit the problem was standing in my own shoes the whole time.
