Am I the only one who thinks a fogged lens makes photos better?

Everyone online seems to hate on condensation inside the lens but last month at Crater Lake my whole roll came out hazy and dreamy and I got more compliments on those shots than any clear ones I've ever taken. Has anyone else accidentally gotten a good fail like that?

Hazy lenses can definitely give a whole different mood to a shot. You just gotta watch out for actual water spots or dirt smeared in there that ruins sharpness. Key trick is to let the lens acclimate slow when going from cold to warm air, keep it in your bag zipped up for a bit before pulling it out. Shot a whole wedding roll once where the lens was fogged from going in and out of an air conditioned church, bride actually loved the soft look on the portraits.

Crater Lake fog shots sound great but I've tossed way more hazy rolls than I kept.
