My grandfather handed me his old Pentax last month and said one thing that changed how I shoot
He shot with it from 1978 until he switched to digital around 2006, and the camera sat in a shoebox in his closet in Bakersfield for almost 20 years. When he gave it to me he didn't talk about settings or lenses at all. He just said he used to pick one roll of film for a whole month, and by day 20 he was seeing shots everywhere because he only had a few frames left to burn. I have been shooting a roll a week and honestly I think I have been wasting film. So I loaded a single roll of Portra 400 on the 1st and I am making it last through the whole month of June. Curious if anyone else here limits themselves like that, or do you just shoot whatever whenever.
