Burned through 4 rolls of Portra 400 in one weekend and got maybe 6 keepers
Went to the coast with my Rolleiflex and shot everything, then my lab in Sacramento said half the roll was underexposed because I forgot to reset the ISO after pushing it. Has anyone actually kept a shot log that survived past week two?
Did your lab actually catch it before you paid for prints, or did you find out the hard way like my buddy did? He swore he'd keep a log after his honeymoon shots came back looking like mud. Bought a little notebook, wrote down every frame for like nine days. Then he left it in a rental car in San Diego and that was that. Now he just tapes a piece of masking tape to the back of the camera with the ISO written on it. Sounds dumb but he hasn't messed up a push since. Sometimes the low tech fix beats the log you'll never keep up with.
