A darkroom tech in Denver showed me how to check my fixer with a snip test, and it saved 3 rolls
I was about to toss a batch of fixer last month because it looked cloudy, and this older guy at the rental darkroom in Denver told me to just clip a piece of film leader and drop it in. It cleared in about 30 seconds so the fixer was still good, and I ended up saving 3 rolls that wouldve been ruined with weak chemistry. Does anyone else do the snip test or do you just mix fresh fixer every session?
