The Cabin in the Woods: my problem with the ritual ending

Visited that old mining town near Sedona last month. Saw something that made me rethink the whole movie's final scene. The director said the ritual needed all the archetypes. But out there, in that abandoned shaft, I saw old symbols carved into the walls. A fifth one nobody talks about. What if the system was rigged from the start? Like the monsters were never the real threat. Has anyone else looked into the original ritual mythology from the deleted scenes?

That fifth archetype changes everything, makes the sacrifice feel more like a distraction than a solution.

the sacrifice feels more like a distraction" yeah no kidding, it's like the ancient ones were just trying to get the humans to stop looking at their weird mountain porn collection. So what's the deal with that fifth archetype, just a cosmic prank gone wrong?
