That 'they all die' ending in Titanic would have ruined it

People keep saying Rose should have died with Jack, but that misses the whole point. If she died too, the entire theme of her living a full life because of him vanishes - I noticed this after rewatching it last month and counting how many scenes set up her future. Has anyone else caught how the old photos at the end prove the 'both die' crowd is wrong?

Honestly, I read a breakdown online that pointed out how the underwater scenes actually show her letting go of his frozen hand, which is her choice to survive. That old photo of her on the pier with her future husband and kids makes way more sense if you see it as proof she built the life he wanted for her. Ngl, the whole debate kind of ignores the directors clear message about living on for the people you love.
