PSA: Our family chat sparked a twist for the end of that animated hero film
We were watching the movie about the superhero family last week and my daughter felt the finale was too easy. I pitched that instead of everyone teaming up, the older kid could have quit using powers to fit in at school. This would show a real clash between parent hopes and teen choice. It might make the mom and dad talk more about letting go. That change could wrap the story with a messy but honest family moment. What other films about relatives need a different final scene?

Whoa, that would wreck the parents way more than the kid.

Yeah, and @evan56's right about it hitting the parents harder. Nobody talks about how they then have to spend years pretending everything's normal for the kid's sake, which just eats them up inside.
