Went to a job site in Raleigh and they had wireless sensors everywhere

I stopped by a new construction site over at the Wakefield subdivision and every single door and window had a wireless sensor on it. The installer told me it saved them 3 days of labor compared to running wires. I still don't trust the battery life on those things though, especially in the NC humidity. Has anyone else had trouble with wireless dropout in commercial buildings?

Had a job in Wilmington last year where we went wireless on a commercial office build. First two months were fine, then summer hit and three sensors dropped out. Turned out the humidity was messing with the seals on the battery compartments. We switched to a different brand with better gaskets and it's been solid ever since. That Raleigh humidity is no joke, so check what kind of weather rating they have on those things before you commit.

Right? Humidity'll wreck cheap seals every time.
