TIL a shortcut hiding wires behind baseboards, customer in Phoenix showed me

I was doing a job out in Phoenix last summer, running wires for a new panel in this older house. The homeowner, a guy named Rick, said to just tuck the wire under the baseboard instead of drilling. I was skeptical but he showed me how to pry it up just enough and route the wire behind it, saved me about an hour of work. Has anyone else used this trick for low voltage runs?

Oh man, that "just tuck it under the baseboard" trick is a lifesaver. I had a job in a old house in Tucson where the trim was already loose in spots, so the homeowner showed me the same thing. I just pried it up a little with a flat bar, ran the Cat5e right behind it, and tapped it back down. Worked like a charm for the whole living room, no holes in the drywall or anything.

Yeah but Cat6 won't fit under loose trim as easy.
