Overheard a guy at the supply house say wired systems are dead, and I had to walk away

I was grabbing some 22/4 at ADI yesterday and this younger installer was telling his buddy that hardwired contacts are a waste of time for new builds. He said wireless everything is faster and nobody cares about reliability anymore. Am I the only one who still thinks a solid hardwired panel with 8 zones is worth the extra labor in commercial jobs?

Ha, I once spent two hours tracing a phantom zone because someone's dog chewed through a wireless sensor.
